How a Roof Overlay Helped Extend the Life of a School Roof
Roof overlays are an excellent option for schools looking to extend the life of their existing roofing systems while staying within budget. By installing a new roofing membrane over a structurally sound roof, schools can avoid the expense and disruption of a complete tear-off while gaining long-term protection against the elements.
Hear directly from Seymour Community School’s Assistant Superintendent, Talmadge Reasoner, who chose Royalty to install a Duro-Last PVC overlay onto their existing roof system, saving them money and time, all while providing a roof that will last for years to come, backed by the industry’s best warranties.
Award-Winning Eco-Friendly Roofing
Educational and nonprofit buildings often strive to meet higher standards of environmental responsibility. Choosing materials with a lower environmental impact, such as recycled content and the ability to be recycled at the end of life, can align with these goals. In 2022, we received the Duro-Last Sustainability Project Award for our work replacing Crothersville Junior & Senior High School’s solar roof. This project posed several challenges, from the multiple types of deck material, a tight timeline, and installing solar panels for energy efficiency, but we were able to meet all these requirements without sacrificing quality.
